I decided after all to create a review video of Xerxes guide. The video is to show you everything in the members area of Xerxes Guide. The leveling guides are now complete as they weren’t in the video! Hope you enjoy!

Xerxes Guide Review
Ok ok, so I finally took a break from the Rift Online launch to write this Xerxes Guide review. Sorry but Rift is too good and there is so much to be done.
Now this is only a review of the guide so if you are looking for the Xerxes homepage click here.
If you haven’t read the previous posts here’s a slight recap. I decided to make this site to share a review of Xerxes guide since currently there is not one online (that I could find) from a Rift player who has actually put the guide to use. I didn’t have the luxury of reading a review before purchasing the guide and ended up relying on the 60-day money back guarantee. Hopefully I can kill any skepticism you might have and give you a nice in-depth review of Xerxes Rift Mastery Guide.
A word of WARNING – the following Xerxes guide review will go through both the good and the bad, so if that’s something you might not want to hear, then may I suggest you leave now.
That all aside, shall we get to the reviewing of Xerxes guide?
Xerxes Rift Mastery Guide is a one-time fee membership site where you can download all of the content via the member’s area. All the guides offered in the member’s area are PDF guides that can be printed off. One issue I do have is that you have to download the zip file first and unzip it to get the PDF. I know, I am lazy but it would be nice to just have it open with one click!
Having a member’s area is a great feature over just a stand-alone PDF download since Xerxes has the ability to add content at will and you can easily download that content. How do you get lifetime updates with a one-time download PDF? Riddle me that batman!
While this is not a game breaker for competing guides it is reassurance that the “LIFETIME UPDATES” is actually valid and you can expect to get them as the game develops.
Reviewing the Contents of Xerxes Guide
The Members area is broken down into four main sections:
- Beginners Crash Course
- Rift Leveling Guide (both Defiant’s and Guardian’s)
- Rift Builds (Soul selection for each Calling)
- HD maps
Beginners Crash Course
I was blown away by the amount of detail in this section of the member’s area. If you are new to Rift the Rift Beginners Guide covers everything you need to know. You can then move onto the User Interface guide, which instructs on all the cool things you can do to customize how Rift looks without any third party addons or crazy scripts.
Finally there is the Rifting guide in this section that instruct you on all the things you need to know about the main concept in the game – Rifting.
I am trying not to make your eyes bleed in this Xerxes Guide review but there is so much I feel should be highlighted. Sorry if this gets long!
Rift Leveling Guides
As with any MMO you’re probably going to want to grab a leveling guide to get you through the grind as fast as possible. Xerxes has outlined both a leveling guide for Defiant’s and Guardian’s to get from level 1-50 fast.
“If there is one thing you take away from this Xerxes Guide Review, it’s that the Rift Leveling Guide is Awesome!”
Enough is enough? To get access Xerxes guide just click here
I hate leveling toons and this leveling guide allows me to learn the new abilities and class (calling/soul) without the stress of leveling. I would recommend this product on the leveling guide alone.
Rift Builds Guide
With 4 Callings and 9 Souls per calling there are a ton of possibilities. Xerxes covers all 4 Callings and every Soul in the game. You will see what souls are better for Pvp (Player vs Player) and what are better for Rifting and Warfronts.
I personally like to play around with talents in MMO’s to make up my mind for myself so this area was only used for reference. I’ll be honest though – a lot of the builds I settled on were already painted out in this guide. I guess it would of paid to be lazy on this one.
HD Maps
The HD maps offered by Xerxes are definitely High Quality but in reality are just a slight perk. You can print these off for your own reference or save them somewhere on your computer.
Lifetime Updates
I always try and find a guide with lifetime updates in any MMO as these games are constantly changing. One problem is ALL guides currently offer lifetime updates! Well to name a few on the market ,Rift Blueprint, Fero’s, Killerguides, etc.. BUT all these guides are DOUBTFUL to deliver.
Rift Blueprint was created by Tony “T Dub” Sanders who has created many game guides (Fameville Secrets, MafiaWars etc), that promise lifetime updates but none of the guides have updated once after a major patch or expansion. The same falls for Killerguides, although their guides are at least half decent to begin with.
I can’t comment on Fero’s since I have never used a guide written by them but if I had to give my two cents…they fall into the same category as the rest.
Xerxes guide actually fits an update model with a member’s area and they have been adding content everyday over the last 2 weeks and Rift Online launched only yesterday. I firmly believe Xerxes Rift Mastery guide will deliver on their lifetime updates unlike the rest but that’s just my opinion.
Xerxes guide has helped me a ton with getting me up to speed and getting an edge on some of the tedious things in Rift. I give Xerxes Guide 4.5/5 Stars or 9/10 Points, or 90/100 carrots. Whatever B.S. rating system you want :) but the bottom line is that it’s a great guide and definitely worth the money.

Rift Launch Review
Yup, it’s finally here people!! Rift Online launched in North America today and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve noticed no queue times as of late and the servers are running as smoothhh as a babies bottom. I haven’t done my Xerxes Guide review yet as I have invested most of my time playing Rift! Who wouldn’t…
I just needed a place to express my excitement and thought here would be an appropriate place.
Here is a in game screen shot of my level 22 (now level 24) Rogue using a Marksman soul.
“I am telling you this game trumps all MMO’s so far…”
It simply could be the fact that it’s fresh and all new content with a whole new world to learn (heck I have noticed there are going to be A LOT of buttons on my UI when I hit 50!). One thing I found most helpful was the coverage of Xerxes UI guide, which will be covered in my Xerxes Guide review.
The UI guide really helped me to customize my layout of the User Interface in Rift without any pesky addons. In World of Warcraft I hated how you couldn’t easily move the UI around without using scripts. You had to download a bunch of addons and back then I had an old rig which got slower with every addon (or so it seemed). I am sure in the near future I will be changing to custom addons since my new rig has zero trouble with lag but the UI changes I made thanks to Xerxes Rift Mastery Guide are perfect for now.
Well I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how amazing this game is but I am sure you are either playing Rift right now or you know how epic this game will be. If you don’t head over to Rift Online and pick up a digital copy – they have a bit of a deal on until March 15th worth checking out.
Happy Rifting,
Scott
Xerxes Guide Review Website Welcome
Welcome to Xerxesguidereview.com, a website created for those trying to figure out if Xerxes Rift Mastery Guide is worth picking up. I unfortunately didn’t have the benefit of others opinion before I purchased the guide but decided that their 60-day money back guarantee would be safe enough. Due to the lack of reviews on the Internet I decided to whip up a site for those looking for a Xerxes Guide Review from someone who has actually bought and used the guide.
I don’t want to go into too much detail here as it will take away from my review of Xerxes Guide to come but if you’re are looking for a quick answer and some reassurance that it’s not a scam / the product is worth the money I can firmly say,
“Xerxes Rift Mastery Guide is by far the best guide on the market today”
…you can quote me on that. Typically, when I pick up a game guide online the whole thing is fluffed with stuff I can find on the general website. Xerxes guide is loaded with QUALITY content. Again I am not going to go into too much detail here but over the next few days you can expect to see exactly why I think this by reading my Xerxes Guide review.
I would write the guide review right now but the truth is Rift Online hasn’t even been officially released and I have been spending most of my time playing on the Rift Head Start or waiting in the queue (longest so far was 4 hours and 32 minutes). The queue wasn’t so bad since I just sat there and read over Xerxes guide.
Due to the fact Rift officially launches tomorrow, Xerxes guide is only 90% complete. Not to worry when I first picked it up there was loads missing but it was updated promptly for the Head Start and will be finished and polished in the next 24 hours according to the member’s area.
There is plenty there to keep busy until then!
So keep an eye out for my detailed Xerxes guide review with screen shots and maybe even a behind the scenes video!
Happy Rifting,
Scott
